We make it is a space dedicated to Risography, the development and production of all kinds of printed matters and graphics. Here we connect all parts of the independent (self-)publishing process, and provide our knowledge, networks and experiences to help you, in a collaborative way, to get your publications and other printed matters come to life.
We understand we make it as a space that confronts us with the urge for self-enactment, visibility, accessibility and democratization of art, politics and information. Something we call the the roots of self-publishing. But also the low and no budgets, and the need for accessible machines and collaborative processes. And how limitations leads to the consequence to use the Risograph as the choice of reproduction.
We think that the development of publications and printed matters in general is a process based on autonomous power and action. For us it is an emancipatory-critical act that holds the possibility of survival and flourishing of thoughts.
We make it is a project by us, Franziska Brandt und Moritz Grünke. We are also the founder of Gloria Glitzer (www.gloriaglitzer.de), an avatar for our (artistic) publishing practice. We do bookworks since 2007, attend many art book fairs all over the world and curated several exhibitions on self-publishing, Risography and distribution.
